My wife and I had the opportunity to return to this restaurant again recently. It remains as wonderful and enjoyable as our first experience here. This time we had the opportunity to meet the chef, Taurino Galván. Many of the ingredients and the bread used at the restaurant come from the Huesteca region of the state of San Luis Potosí, which explains the unique flavors found in the meals. Chef Taurino explained the different meals and ingredients to us which made me appreciate the food from the Huesteca region even more.

This restaurant is featured in the 2023 edition of Guía México Gastronomico, listing the top 250 restaurants in the country. This is the only restaurant in the state of San Luis Potosi mentioned in this guide.

The food remains very flavorful; the plates feature generous portions and the service remains excellent. We have eaten out at several places in this part of the city but we come back to Rincón Huesteco every time.

Muy bonito lugar, pero servicio no me gusta. Mi familia de Europa y Estados unidos siempre quiere ir a este restaurante por el bonito ambiente (y porque gustan la comida), pero siempre me preguntan que onda con servicio… Los explico que es todo una tema en SLP. Así que después de varios veces decidí a escribir retroalimentación aquí para ver si algo cambiara. Mi familia vino de visita de nuevo el fin pasado y nos fuimos almorzar el domingo. Nos juntamos a las 2pm. La recepción en la entrada muy bien. Pero meseros… Anduvieron de mal humor y pocas ganas de hacer propinas, al parecer. Pedimos cada uno lo que nos encojaba. Esperamos más de 30 minutos para que nos llega la comida y aparte llegaba desemparejado. Pues, de sentido común lo ideal hubiera sido que para la misma mesa la comida llega al mismo tiempo (más o menos). Así que parte de mi familia acababa mientras los otros apenas recibían su plato. Yo pedí una michelada con todo para refrescar y tomar mientras esperaba mi comida. No solo que llegó después de mi plato, también esta exageradamente cara (mi michelada costaba mas de mi platillo de palmitos)! 🥸 Luego a la hora de cobrar mesero se puso muy irritado porque había varios pagos con diferentes tarjetas. No nos regalaron ninguna sonrisa. Anduvieron gruñones. Pues… A mi me gusta ambiente mucho y la comida, pero espero que los meseros reciben una...

Vi a mi madre ser intubada y sometida a toda clase de procedimientos médicos durante días antes de que falleciera. Imaginaba que eso era lo más duro que tendría que experimentar... Hasta que probé la arrachera de este lugar.

Dura, pellejuda, sobrecocida, insípida. Claramente es una arrachera de mala calidad.

No regresaré a este lugar. Review original:

El lugar se siente pequeño cuando lo ves desde fuera, pero no lo es. El servicio es impecable, todos atendiendo.

La velocidad en la que te sirven los alimentos podría ser mejor, pero en realidad no es terriblemente lento.

La comida está rica. No es abrumadoramente deliciosa, pero en verdad está rica y la sirven en porciones generosas, aunque siento que el guacamole sí es poquito. Las salsas para acompañar los totopos son olvidables.

El precio siento yo que es muy justo por la calidad. En definitiva, regresaré.

La única razón por la que no le doy cinco estrellas es porque para llegar a los sanitarios debes subir escaleras. Mis padres en edad avanzada batallaron. Si alguien me confirma que sí hay sanitarios en la planta baja, le pondría...
