Daniel's Mariscos y Carnes — Restaurant in Guerrero

During season it's always busy but great location in central and smack right on the beach as well as a building behind it. Always a friendly service. They made some great carajillo for me and my dinner was delicious. Close to the Playa Principal, malecon, basketball court. Lots of activities around in the evenings and weekends. Sometimes you get people coming by to play music for you or sell souvenirs. You can go dip in the bay and come back to eat and drink and repeat. Great for people watching as well and good for watching sunset behind the mountains. Close by the main streets where you can quickly catch a cab after you are done eating...

As seaside restaurants go there is really nothing truly outstanding about Daniel's. The view of course is amazing but that is generally granted by sources greater than the restaurant owner. There is a fair bit of competition on the beach for the seafood lover and Daniels is not at the top of that heap. Nevertheless, they make some of the best margaritas in the area and the bartenders are truly the best in Zihuatanejo. Daytime OK- Nightime hmmm? Located right near the basketball courts, we found Daniels to be OK during the day. We came by at nighttime to check out the live music. It seemed to be an expat hang out listening to a nice man playing older soul music & Jimmy Reed. I like that style of music but it just seemed unauthentic to the Mexican Zihuatanejo that I love.
