We have been to Don Memo's a few times over the years when traveling to Zihuatanejo, and the experience can always be described as predictable.
The food is generally good; we both had lasagna, which tasted good and was a decent portion size. Not the lasagna my mama used to make, but still tasty.
Despite the restaurant being basically empty (outside of the stray cats and street peddlers that visit your table more frequently than serving staff!), the service was just so-so, and predictable!
It looks like they tried to freshen up the appearance of the restaurant and got rid of the old, goulish art that used to adorn the walls.
Don Memo's would not be my first pick as a restaurant choice in Zihuatanejo, but at least it is...

Our server highly recommended the pork chops with mushroom sauce which 3 of us ordered, I myself ordered Alfredo with shrimp and lastly the other fish with wine sauce. When we received the meals, the pork chops where so over done that they couldn’t cut thru the meat, mine was cold and shrimp was charred. All chops were returned . Read moreDelicious very well priced restaurant. I ordered the mushroom chicken a green salad, and my friend had a ribeye steak. The salad was huge and beautiful ($60.00 pesos) and both entrees were very good, served with bread and delicious alfredo pasta and vegetables.
Many drinks (2 margaritas, 4 beers, 1 mineral water) and dinner was about $500 pesos for two!
