Have ordered the Mahi Mahi with lime sauce on several occasions and it’s always been a favorite. Last night simply wasn’t the case. A week ago the presentation arrived as it states on the menu with rice sautéed vegetables but last night there were no sautéed vegetables…only rice and overcooked fish and to top it off there was a hair on my plate. We asked to speak to the owner and he dismissed our complaint about the absence of sautéed vegetables and insisted that if we wanted vegetables that we were to order them on the side but this had never never been our experience before. We have always received the veggies without having to ask for them as they are included as it states on the menu in this dish. Not only did the owner dismiss our concerns but when I mentioned and showed him the hair on my plate he offered us and 10 percent discount. Needless to say we were not impresssed. Read moreAwesome place and got pretty busy almost a full house towards sunset when we were there an hour earlier there was like 2 tables. But the setting feels like eating in the jungle or swamp. I'm glad many iguanas showed up for me and a few different bird species as well. There were turtles swimming by and a medium size crocodile swam by as well although when I pass by mid day there was a huge crocodile hanging out by the entrance of the restaurant. Love the vibe here and a few good choices on the menu. The service was good but today there credit card machine didn't work but luckily I have cash. On the other side of the back of the restaurant is also an RV park I'm not sure if you can rent the lot with the place but there were many travelers and it's nice if you have an RV walk straight into the restaurant to eat and off to the...

The salt water estuary next to the restaurant is a vivid dark pink (we have been told the color is seasonal). That alone is unique. The iguanas are everywhere. And then there is the restaurant's namesake... A 10' salt crocodile who regularly suns himself just outside the patio.
As for food and service... I would classify this as just above average for the area. Good food that is a higher quality than normal with decent service. The prices were no more or less than surrounding restaurants. Oh, it is a little tricky to find if you are driving. Just trust the GMap. ;)
But if you want an AMAZING travel pic as well as an above average lunch for a good price, this is...
