Jungle pizza — Restaurant in Guerrero

I don't give out 5 stars too easily, but I have to say we had a wonderful meal. The drinks are ample sized, tasty and generous with good alcohol. One of the best pizza's I've ever had! Crust was excellent. I stood by the counter and watched several pizza's made, they are not skimpy on toppings, which all looked of excellent quality. Rubin, the owner, personally greeted all the guests, and judging from the hugs and hand shakes, there were many repeat customers. Rubin told us how blessed he was to have such wonderful staff. The Jungle is only open for weekends during the off-season. By 8 pm, the place was full of laughter and love. So often you go to a restaurant and see everyone on a cell phone...not the case here..people genuinely engaged with each other...here to do what the owner wants...enjoy his love of making great pizza and having a great dining experience. Thin, crispy, fire baked crust topped in delicious goodies. Don't neglect the sauces, one is nice and creamy, the other is a gorgeous red chili pepper oil; both together are exceptional.

Always great audio selections that generally feature smooth guitar riffs.

The restaurant is nestled amongst a jungle of plants, in a large open-air palapa.

The Mediterranean salad is excellent, as are the dressings. The Blue Cheese is the smoothest, creamiest, best I've ever consumed.

Margaritas are massive, brain-freeze capable, and delicious.

Staff is very attentive, hospitable, and friendly. Oftentimes, Reuben, the owner, walks around chatting up the customers with a great big smile.

A lovely family-run pizza place with tons of charm and hospitality! The drinks are massive and a little spendy if you opt for the large size, roughly the equivalent of a fish bowl. The pizza is delicious if you like thin crispy crust cooked in a large fire oven with generous toppings! I personally do! Pro tip, take cash. When we were there, they were cash only. That may have been temporary, but I didn't realize until reading a little sign at the table cards not accepted. One large pizza one medium with two "medium" drinks (margarita on the rocks and strawberry daquari, still massive) ran about $65. Maybe a little steep for what I thought would be Mexico pricing, but I highly recommend the pizza, cocktails, and friendly...
