Our first dining experience at Chuleto, and although the appearance and atmosphere of the place is okay, the food and service were far superior.

Highlights would be the escargot as an appetizer and the pepper tuna steak off the dinner selection that my wife had. I had grilled Mahi Mahi in a garlic herb butter, and it was very good, as well. The biggest disappointment was that they did not have the coconut ice cream with Kahlua, which we were looking forward to.

If you like to people watch, it's a great spot because it is located along the waterfront walkway, amongst all the vendor shops, close to the pier. Lots of hustle and bustle!

Prices were decent, and they accepted credit card, as well as the usual Pesos.

We love the poached mahi-mahi (try the wonderful, brisk dill sauce), roast duck, or the thick pork chop. They also have a delicious grilled filet tenderloin. All these main courses come with rice and sweet, lightly steamed carrots. “Chuletos” sports a lit Swiss flag in front and is owned and run by the family of the deceased, famous Swiss Chef, Paul. For your dessert, suggest you try the coconut ice cream with blackberry sauce... yummy.
