We were in Izmal and were looking for morning coffee. After checking several places we discovered this one - a truly great location. I believe it belongs to a hotel, because the cafe is located in an inner yard of a larger building. It was easy to spot the place because it had a large poster outside saying coffee with big letters.
We entered the place through the gate, there was a guarding who confirmed that we could buy coffee. We proceeded to the inner yard and saw a beautiful tiny garden where the cafe is located. The place has a pond with fishes and a fountain, several tables with umbrellas, a counter to order food, a toilet. They even have fans on the walls. The garden has some green plants and many decorations like bird cages, vases, flowers, etc.
We ordered two coffees, a sandwich and smoothie. Although we are beginners in Spanish, we could communicate with the waiters, there was no miscommunication between us. The order arrived shortly. The coffees were great, the sandwich was awesome. Perhaps the smoothie could not be called a smoothie - it was more a frozen juice, but it was good as well. We paid around 225 pesos for everything.

Waitress didn’t speak English which is not basically a big deal but she didn’t even try to understand what we are ordering. I cannot say that she was rude but she was definitely not polite. Cappuccino I ordered was Dolce Gusto capsule. We also ordered American breakfast where bowl of fruit was included. Fruit didn’t seem to be really fresh. Scrambled eggs were alright but it came with some bean sauce which was not good and with two pieces of vegetable. When we were ordering the eggs, we asked if the eggs come with bread (via Google Translator) and the answer was “yes”. Once we got our eggs, there was no bread. We had to ask for it again. We got the bread in “napkin” that was really dirty and I saw the waitress taking it from table next to us!!! Not to mention that the eggs were already almost cold when we started eating. Even though the breakfast was not that expensive, it is not worth the money! You can get amazing breakfast for 50 pesos even in larger and more popular...

Maybe that was acceptable since I enjoyed a ice conversation with another person. This is a nice place to take...
