If you're coming to Mexico to eat at an Americanized bar with no Mexican flair and like no seasoning on your food (aka you're from the Midwest) then look no further. Now to be fair, we came in starving from a day of fishing to take advantage of the "you catch we cook" signage. Maybe giving them different fish than they were used to impacted their ability to prepare it... But regardless, the service was awful. We never got the chips and guac we ordered, I had to stop a waitress to ask for hot sauce because ours never came back after dropping off our food and then she never returned with it. Our drinks stood empty for quite some time before I went and found someone to bring us our check and the food was borderline inedible with almost all of us leaving with a stomach ache... The exception was my son who ate one piece of fish and refused to eat anything else. Super fun locals hang out, great place to meet Canadian and American ex-pats, hang with the friendly owner, make yourself at home. The service here was incredibly friendly and attentive and the mango margaritas with Tajín on the brim were delicious. (I'd requested no salt, and the server asked if I wanted Tajín. To be honest, it had never occurred to me, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Well, I'm pretty sure I'll never have another fruity margarita without the slightly spicy seasoning. DELICIOUS suggestion!) The nachos were giant and fresh, loaded and filling. Went back repeatedly during my stay. Will be an early stop should I ever find myself in the marina again....

I honestly love this place. The outdoor seating that's covered from the sun is a nice reprieve from the heat. The seating is fun and overlooks the marina. My favorite thing to get here is the fish tacos. Listen - I've had fish tacos spanning from Hawaii to Scotland. I've had them all over the globe. And to date, Chappy's has the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. They are light, airy, crunchy, and soft on the inside. The breading is perfect, as are the condiments that come with it. The sauce itself and the slaw are a perfect complement to the richness of the batter on the fish. The pricing is very fair, and the staff have very good English and are very kind....
