El Tacote was the best dinner during our visit to Guadalajara. We had steak, chicken, and pork tacos with guacamole and an order of queso fundito. Everything from the salsa to the meat flavors were fantastic but I would return for the tortillas alone. Definitely the best tortillas. Wow! The restaurant has free off street parking and located just a couple blocks outside of the main area of Tlaquepaque. Very affordable and the waiter was patient with my efforts to order in...

We ate dinner at El Tacote. The service was great and the food was very good at reasonable prices. We had tasty molcajetes (mixto and arrachera) and chicken fajitas - all very good. Our problem was the wine. The only option is red wine (no whit e). However if you want to bring your own, the corkage fees are high. We suggest that you provide white wine for sale or a lower corkage fee (prefera bly zero if no white wine...

This place is wonderful. We ordered the Carne Arrechera plate and it was the most delicious tasting meat. It was very soft, juicy and flavorful. We ordered the meat medium rare and it came to us very rare so we asked for them to put it back for a few minutes and it came back just right. Sorry I didn’t get the inside of the menu. We will definitely be coming back to...

Big enough taco portion, the sirloin is mostly fat and the tacos arrive a little cold, the tortillas are hand made so they’re good. The service could improve and so the cleanliness of the place. Poor ventilation. They have parking inside and games for kids. There’s a terrace upstairs that is open on the weekend, but the stairs don’t have a safety holder on the bottom.
