Gabistro — Restaurant in Jalisco

My husband and I just went there for the first time last night (Thursday) around 7PM. As we take Covid seriously, we chose to sit outside. The patio area is set up well and our seats were comfortable. The place is across the street from Jean's Hamburgers and there is free parking in the building or on the street if you can find it.

We were very impressed with this place. Our server, Arturo, was super friendly and attentive from the moment we sat to the moment we got up to leave. We started we Lemonades, both were tasty, where in parallel they placed some bread on the table. The bread tasted fresh and tasty. That was followed by the Fried Calamari. I'm pretty picky about this, and we felt it was an A. Delicious. Portion size was OK for two. Then we both had the Lasagna. It was fantastic. Nothing in the taste was overwhelming. It all just blended together very nicely. The meat was tasty. My minor criticism is that we are used to getting larger portions in the states where the Lasagna itself would have been taller, but the portion size was good enough and the taste made of for it. I think I still would have been hungry if I hadn't had the bread and Calamari, but I tend to eat large portion sizes, so everybody will have a different opinion about what is appropriate. For the price which was reasonable, the portion was fine. The cake slices are a bit pricey, I think they said 120 pesos which we think is a bit high, so we passed on the dessert as there are so many less expensive dessert options in the area.

All in all, we loved our night at this place, we give it an A, 5 stars, and we will be back to try other meals and their breakfast as long as their prices stay where...

We are at Gabistro in Versailles area. It was very good. So we thought we would give the one by airport a try. Not a good idea. Hamburger looked great but was very well done and dry. The chicken Parmesan panni not good. Chicken was thin and tough. I did like the mocha.

Within minutes of posting this review, and we were still at the restaurant, the manager came up to us and asked for more details on our review. That was VERY impressive. I think they take reviews seriously, which shows good management

UPDATE: We went back for another try. Much better this time ! And do yourself a favor if you have a bit extra time at the airport. Avoid airport food and take a short walk to this place or some other highly rated place around, but outside the airport grounds. There are some of food restaurants in this area at a much more...

If you are a visitor in this city and wanted something like Italian food or wanted something new aside from local foods. Then, you should check out this restaurant. It has a comfy environment. The table was set up beautifully, and it's clean. Most importantly, the food was great. My tiramisus was satisfying. It made my stomach happy. However, the complimentary could've been better if it was warmer. Great experience by far. Highly recommend...
