First time trying tamales and it was beyond our expectations. The sweet elote tamale and jericalla (custard dessert) were recommended by the nicest abuela, Estela, and we were so happy that we ordered. Everything was so yummy and the best was the hospitality: we were treated like being at a grandmom’s home. Estela was super sweet and staffs were all friendly. The environment and toilets were super clean. Will definitely visit it again when I am back to...

This is a family owned restaurant that's been around for ages and is well known for their tamale offerings. Our favorites include their pineapple and strawberry tamales. This restaurant is our usual hangout every time we visit Guadalajara. The owner is so friendly and shares with us a lot of cultural history of the surrounding neighborhoods. They have a full menu of authentic Mexican cuisine like their signature tamales de acelgas and other fillings, pozole, enchiladas, tacos, tostadas and more…it’s a small “hole in the wall” type with lots of street parking in the area.
