I went one Wednesday night to this place. The restaurant was not very crowded so I didn’t have problems getting a table. They have two menus, one for drinks and one for food. The one for food is just a printed paper the works as a tablecloth also. After ordering a starter dish, the waiter asked me if he could take the menu, because those were the last ones and they had none left. I replied I wanted to check the main dishes so he told me to be careful with the tablecloth/menu because if I stained it they wouldn’t be able to reuse it. I ordered pork belly nachos, I wouldn’t say it was good nor horrible. It was some fried tortillas with Mexican sauce, cheese and pork belly. It tasted just ok. After ordering the main dish, the waiter took away the “menu” and set up another table. As main dish I had BBQ ribs and Cajun boneless, again not bad, just ok. I asked for the bill and what bothered me the most is they add 18% tip! They give you the bill with the total and above it, with a marker they round up the number to include tips. Definitely not...
Read moreThe food was ok. Wings were good, but the charge of 15mx for the ranch was a bit excessive when it is included in the price every other place I have had wings. Brisket was delicious. The pork belly nachos were just shredded pork and I don't think from the belly, so that was disappointing. But what was most disappointing was that the waitress added 100 MX to our bill for her tip! She saw two gringos with broken Spanish a mile away and decided to benefit from that. We didn't pay the 100 extra, and she did not get a tip. Sadly, that tarnished an otherwise nice experience.
UPDATE: In looking at our credit card transaction, it appears that the waitress overcharged our credit card by about $60 PESOS (approx $3.00 US.) I don't know how to file a complaint, but I think this restaurant needs to be audited on their...
Read moreOne of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve had, their coleslaw is next level. Server was friendly and helpful even though the place was visibly understaffed. My husbands brisket burger was so fatty he picked half it off. The waiter did bring out a piece after the fact which was nice. All our drinks kept coming out with tajin even though we asked for none. Music was good and set a great atmosphere one of the reasons we chose this spot. Unfortunately shortly after we got there they turned off the music and played the soccer really loud which changed entire vibe. They added the tip to the bill prob assuming because we are "gringos" we aren’t aware that this is illegal in Mexico and can be reported to Profeco. Word of advice "gringos" tend to tip more than 15% so you screw yourself...
