Very delicious food and the atmosphere was Charming. The chickens were entertaining as they were roosting, and met some very nice people there. Now to the food. They had the most delicious corn soup I have ever had. All the food including the bread was served very hot and the butter melted great on the bread. I had the pork ribs that melted in my mouth and totally enjoyed them. A little sweeter than the Texas BBQ I'm used to but that's what made it so good. The service was excellent. Very friendly and likable. I will be going back , they are open until 9 p.m.

I definitely recommend Tio Domingo. The food was delicious (and I'm a foodie)!! It's a family owned, quaint, tucked away place established in 1999. We loved the filet with cognac sauce and garlic shrimp (they split our plates), tortilla soup and guacamole appetizer! The owner/chef's attention to detail and flavor was very evident. The owners brother was our server and he was exceptional. If I lived here, I'd be back to try more dishes.

What a cool place. Beautiful atmosphere with classical music in the background. Had the chicken in white wine sauce. Chips and salsa served ahead and bread and butter with the meal. We topped off our meal with the "Spanish Coffee" which was to die for. The presentation amazing too.

Always a wonderful dining experience at Tio Domingo's. The food, service and beautiful garden setting are all wonderful! They make the best Guacamole in Mexico. Last evening we also enjoyed the Filet of Beef in a Red Wine Sauce with Bacon and Onions, Steamed Vegetables and Creamy Mashed Potatoes, and the Garlic Shrimp with Rice and Steamed Vegetables. For cocktails we enjoyed Margaritas and Jack & Coke. After dinner drinks and coffees, as well as desserts, are always a special treat! Prepared tableside, the Bananas Flambe and Coffee with Tequila and Whipped Cream are truly amazing...

This is a small family restaurant that has been in West Ajijic for years, now operated by the adult children of the original owners.

Everything on the menu that we have tried has been well-prepared. A chicken breast cooked in white wine was tender and juicy, and a tender beef fillet is offered with either a red wine or a mushroom sauce. Traditional Mexican dishes of Chile Relleno and Enchiladas are tasty. Don't miss their delicious Chiles en Nogada special when it is advertised (several times a year).

Service is both courteous and efficient and prices are...
