Food tastes great. But is also super unhealthy. If you like cheese, meat, and beer, this place is heaven. If you are on a diet, find another restaurant. We had a pastor volcano which was delicious and enough for 8 small tacos. The quesotaco was a heavy taco within a layer of crispy cheese with more cheese inside, of course. I'm surprised as to how this is already not more popular in US and Canada. They also serve Victoria beer which is also not widely available in restaurants. Generous refills of salsa and other condiments. Even gave us extra fresh tortillas for our leftover to-go box. Portions are huge, definitely worth the price. This place is clearly busy and we got reasonably fast friendly service. Made a mistake with Bill but fixed it with a smile. Overall, good service, delicious albiet unhealthy food. Their 5k+ reviews with a 4.6 is totally justified.

I have been away from Mexico back to the states for 5 months and their are very few place to get genuine Al Pastor tacos. When you see this 100kg stack getting cooked you know they know how to do Al Pastors. So this was our first stop. We got the 500g plate and ate to our hearts delight with fresh tortillas and wonderful lemonade. These are great tacos and a great environment. After enjoying the tacos we got a flan and basically a sweetened corn bread cream cheese custard like cake. Both were wonderful and the flan was firm, smooth and silky texture. Probably the best I have had. The Elote cake was a surprise that you wouldn’t expect and definitely worth trying. This is the busiest taqueria I have ever seen which tells you they must be doing something right. Crush it and don’t go light when you come here to enjoy.

Famed taqueria with a bit of a wait, but the tacos are great and served generously. I waited about 15 minutes to be seated, even though it was only around 10 p.m.—I didn’t expect that long of a wait so early in the evening. After ordering, I was given the salsas without much explanation of what they were. The tacos took a little while to arrive, but they were large al pastor tacos. The tacos were delicious, and they didn’t skimp on anything. At $35 each, they were well worth the price, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. The service was decent throughout my visit, and while these might be the most popular and possibly overhyped tacos in Colonia Americana, they definitely live up to the name and are worth the wait. Much better than CDMX-style al pastor tacos.

Must visit restaurant if visiting GDL. The ambiance of the place is great and it is almost always busy. The service was very great and the staff was constantly checking in with me and provided me with recommendations. I ordered a prepared Topo Chico (which is a must when in GDL) and for the food I ordered tacos de pastor and bistec. The food was incredible, like some of the best tacos I have ever had. Make sure to order the meats with cheese since really adds to the flavor and takes the plate to the next level. For drink and food I paid around 17USD equivalent which is pretty good considering you can split the food with someone (serves 1-2) All in all would give this place a 10/10 and recommend you give it a chance.

This is so good so good so good. I wish I was hungry and drunk when I got there because I had already had dinner but still ended up eating 3 tacos here. We ordered the tomate special which was a huge plate of meat with cheese and pineapple and avocado. Service was amazing and all the staff were welcoming and smiley. The tortilla is actually one of the best we’ve had! That medium size plate that we ordered could easily feed 3-4 people.... for 99 pesos. Pretty crazy cheap! We gave up waiting in line after 30 minutes but for a Sunday night we were able to get in with just a few minutes wait! I would highly recommend this place!

If you’re looking for good Al pastor tacos this is the spot! Their gringas (basically American style quesadillas) are really good. The tomate especial is a must have as well. They have plenty of alcoholic beverages to choose from as well. So whether you’re going for a quick lunch break or late night dinner it satisfies. The service is also pretty good and wait times aren’t terrible, we actually walked right in at 5pm. By the time we left there was a small line but it was moving. Would recommend and will definitely be back next time I’m in town.
