Bom Gosto Churrascaría. — Restaurant in Mérida

Visited this churrascaria in May of this year and my overall impression was good. Positives: good price point offering a good value, good variety of meat options, decent buffet. Negatives: wait time to get the meat cut that one prefers is very long, had to ask several times for it; drink cocktails are ok, but they don’t use the right liquor for the caipiriña, they use rum instead of cachaca. When I ask the server about not using the right liquor, he started giving me the run around, until he finally admitted that they were using rum. Overall, I think this place offers...

Loved it. First of all, the food is delicious, the salad bar is fairly varied and everything (except for the nopales) was fresh and tasty. The meat was very good, not too many dishes, but enough to barely repeat any of them. Then, service is outstanding, everyone was kind and very friendly, they made us feel welcome and were always nice and warm (a fly fell into our water and they changed it without charging extra). Also, the birthday cake they give is delicious! Will definitely come back, TOTALLY...

Acudí con mi pareja, terrible experiencia... Le pongo 1 estrella pero ni siquiera eso se merecen. El servicio estuvo pésimo, las espadas tardaban muchísimo y cuando al fin pasaron, uno de los espaderos nos dijo que se iban a tardar más porque casi no había carne de res y pues no eramos los únicos en el lugar, si en 2 horas comimos 4 veces top sirloin y picaña, fue muchísimo... La grasa de la picaña estaba asquerosamente cruda y sin sabor alguno en general la picaña, lo mejor fue el top sirloin, lastima que solo pude comer una sola vez. Ha sido la cuenta más cara que he pagado para una raquítica barra de ensaladas, porque al final eso terminamos comiendo, de eso nos llenamos porque la carne simplemente nunca apareció. Eso sí,tuvieron el descaro de cobrar la cuenta completa como si nos hubieran llevado realmente el servicio de espadas y preguntar si dejaríamos propina cuando había que estar esperando mil horas por el servicio y el mesero. Este lugar fue bueno, pero definitivamente no volvería y no lo recomendaría, espero que está reseña sirva para que la gente no vaya a mal gastar su dinero (porque tampoco es barato, pague $1000 x 2 personas).
