We were running errands in the north and stopped here for lunch. There were a few tables outside, but we opted to sit inside and enjoy the A/C.
After checking the online menu, we started with Baba Ganoush and Sambousek (empanadas)—two meat and two cheese. The Baba Ganoush was well-seasoned and the best I’ve had in Mérida. The Sambousek were crispy and delicious, with creamy cheese and perfectly seasoned meat.
For mains, I had a Falafel Burrito, which was essentially a falafel wrap with fresh tomato. It was a bit dry but balanced out with tahini. My wife had a Kafta Burrito, made with seasoned meat patties—very flavorful.
It was a lot of food! We probably could have just shared the Baba Ganoush and Sambousek. We only finished half of our burritos and took the rest home.
