Tiz y Tab Lonchería — Restaurant in Mérida

My first visit was when they were one block over across from the market. Ate there several times and became friends with the owners. The food was always excellent. Not fancy, but good local cooking. On my last trip, I found they had moved so I went by to see how they were doing. The two owners were doing well, just in larger digs! Even thought they were doing well, the food was still tasty and excellent. They now have a large "to go" service as well on those days you want to take you dinner...

An absolute gem. Delicous, home cooked full meals with fantastic service. We've been looking for a place that felt more like home cooking and this was exactly it. We had the adobada pork and it was so incredibly flavorful, juicy, and well seasoned. The beans were also tasty. You get a ton of food, enough for a couple of meals easily for a great price.

Service is great. Everyone is so accommodating and joyous.

We are staying close and will be here often to see what else...

Both the food and service are excellent. The prices are reasonable - a full meal is about the same price as a local fast food chain. The food is freshly prepared and the sides are as good as the entree. The black beans (side) are the best I have...
