Cambalache — Restaurant in Mexico City

My mother and I frequent this place for many reasons, the first I believe is the food and the wine. They always have a good combo of 6 Argentinian wines you can have for a very accesible price. Drink a bottle each day and the seventh go back to el Cambalache. Of course the service is the best and the hosts really hospitable, they'll remember your face and what you had last time and give you new recommendation. It might be that the decor featuring photos with tango singer par exellence Carlos Gardel makes a positive psychological in me. Ah if you are not into sports: do not approach. I my self couldn't care less but there's always some game going on in the tens of TV...

I'm really shocked by all the great reviews since my husband and I had the worst experience ever at this establishment yesterday.

First, my husband got food poisoning from eating chorizo. It really didn't smell great, so that was the only thing I didn't have with him.

Second, can you hire normal smiling servers? They are literally angry looking, definitely the one we got on the second floor. Horrible customer service for a place of this caliber.

The food is soooo mediocre, I can't even believe this place exists. Please do yourself a favor and go to A Fuego Lento 1950 just 5 minutes down the road. It's a real Argentinian place with...

This Cambalache Restaurant is one of the best branches of this restaurant and in my personal opinion. Servers are focused to customer experience and they are always looking to deliver topnotch service.

Atmosphere is nice and for a nice dinner meal for family or business. Also, this is a good option for a special or celebration dinner as well. Meals are well prepared and meat (specialties) is really worth to try... really recommended.

Perhaps, it is a good idea to make a reservation if coming at "rush" hours or 9n weekends.

It has valet parking service or there's the option of the mall parking just around...
