Frutos Prohibidos - LA MEXICANA — Restaurant in Mexico City

As an American living in DF for years, i fell in love with Frutos. The Napoles and Condesa locations have always been amazing. Every time I come back to the city, it's a must visit spot just to get phenomenal chilaquiles, huevos, y jugo. Visiting family in Santa Fe this time, i was thrilled to not have to cross the city for my addiction.

That's about the end of the love affair.

The la mexicana spot looks nice, but the "eye roll of a thousand burning incels" from the cashier was a warning sign i shrugged off. The eggs, however, have stained the brand for me and the location is completely burnt in my mind. Won't go back to this spot, and I'm sorry that the owners have let their quality dip so low. Amo la comida de ahí, el trato del personal es estupendo, pero puse 2 estrellas porque uno de los empleados se comportó de una manera horrible con sus compañeros y con los comensales, no se si era el gerente, lo supongo porque se comportaba como si todos tuvieran que rendirle cuentas a él... Estaba sentado en una de las mesas de los comensales con una mujer con la que se veía que platicaba y se reían y desde ahí pegaba de gritos, la primera vez que lo hizo me asustó, pensé que estaban robando o algo, gritó muy fuerte - hey que haces? - y después desde la silla regañó al chavo. A otro mesero también le gritó muy feo. Me pareció una gran falta de respeto a los comensales, su comportamiento era nefasto y no entiendo por qué un lugar así tendría a alguien tan prepotente, grosero e irrespetuoso...
