At first glance you might be seduced by the restaurant great decoration and ambiance. The staff is also very well trained and cordial. But then comes the meat!. An absolute bust!. Deception on texture and flavor, super poor management of cooking point and the most over inflated prices of the zone. They might think they are in “Polanco”, but they are in the middle of the industrial zone of Anahuac. My bife chorizo was very tough and full of tendon like parts. Believe me, I know that Bife Chorizo has a fair amount of grease and marbling, this one was not the case! It was simply an inferior quality cut. My son asked for the picaña and it took tow attempts to get the right cooking point. There was not even that much people at that time and yet the grill could not care to do it right!. Bodega Malazzo puede pasar desapercibida si no estás poniendo atención. A simple vista parece solo una tienda en la esquina, pero si te fijas bien, también es un restaurante. El lugar está bien acondicionado, aunque para mi gusto un poco oscuro (como se puede ver en las fotos que tomé).

La atención del personal fue muy buena, tanto de los meseros como en general. Nos hicieron una recomendación de vino que a mí me gustó, aunque a mi hermana no le encantó, cuestión de gustos.

De entrada pedimos empanadas de distintos sabores y todas estaban muy ricas. Destaco una que tenía una salsa de tomate tipo espagueti, que estaba deliciosa. El chimichurri que acompañaron con los platillos me pareció algo aceitoso, y la salsa picante no picaba nada, lo cual fue una pequeña decepción para quienes esperábamos algo con más punch.

También pedimos una ensalada para acompañar la carne, que estaba buena, con un aderezo sabroso, aunque nada extraordinario. El plato fuerte fue un bife para compartir entre tres, y creo que la porción fue perfecta: ni escasa ni excesiva. Lo complementamos con unas espinacas a la crema, que calificaría con un 7; no estaban malas, pero tampoco son las mejores que he probado.

Very very good food of corse with very patient and kind waiters, one also speaks English but comes with a price. Price range is 15-20$ but man it is really worth it. High end restaurant and food was one of best I have ever had. Defo recommend grilled octopus 👌10/10.
