La casa de Toño Forúm Buenavista — Restaurant in Mexico City

I went here for dinner last night, 31-10-2023. I am happy to give them 5 stars. I was amazed because they had many customers when we just passed. After turning around the mall, I decided to have dinner here.

Pros Location The restaurant is located inside the shopping mall and I am not sure which floor. What I remembered, they are located next to the hashtag FORUM sign. The restaurant had many tables and staff. Gladly I did not need to wait until I got to sit on it. It is clean and very tidy. Fast and excellent service without any doubts. The management trained the staff well. I was amazed. The staff always makes sure everything is fine and if we need anything else. Entrance accessible for wheelchairs. Free toilet. Affordable price. I ordered a big bowl of pozole chicken and it was goooodddd. I liked it. 81 MXN pesos per portion. Quesadillas are too oily. 46 MXN pesos per 1 quesadilla. El pasado viernes por la noche, decidí visitar La Casa de Toño en Forum Buenavista, Ciudad de México, y mi experiencia fue excelente desde que llegué. Al entrar, fui recibido por una chica del personal que me preguntó si estaba solo. Me pidió que esperara un momento, mientras su compañero desde el interior le señalaba que había una mesa disponible. Con mucha amabilidad, la chica me indicó de lejos cuál era mi mesa y pude sentarme rápidamente, lo cual agradecí porque el lugar estaba lleno, reflejando su popularidad.

Opté por pedir un pozole rojo, que llegó ya mezclado con todos los ingredientes. Desde el primer bocado, supe que había tomado una gran decisión. El pozole estaba delicioso, con un caldo muy sabroso, carne tierna y granos de maíz perfectamente cocidos. El plato venía lleno, pero yo prefería tener más del líquido para disfrutarlo mejor. Pedí un poco más de este caldo, y el personal no dudó en traerlo rápidamente, mostrando su excelente atención al cliente. Acompañé mi pozole con tostadas crujientes y guarniciones frescas como rábanos y lechuga. Aunque había limón disponible en la mesa, esta vez preferí no usarlo.

El ambiente del lugar era agradable y acogedor, a pesar de la cantidad de personas que había. Todo estaba limpio, bien organizado y el servicio fue rápido y eficiente. El personal se mostró atento en todo momento, asegurándose de que no faltara nada en mi mesa.

En conclusión, mi visita a La Casa de Toño en Forum Buenavista fue una experiencia muy positiva. Desde la recepción hasta la calidad de los alimentos, todo superó mis expectativas. Located 3rd floor next to Sears inside the mall. They don't cook like abuelita. It's semi fast food inside the mall. It's clean, fast, and reasonably priced. My pozole lacked flavor, but it was acceptable. Chilaquiles was ok, but we felt the flavor wasn't there. However, we were impressed how the waiter and the bus boy literally ran across to clean the table since the wait line was very long.
