I went for dinner. The food was decent, not great. The check came in pesos but without asking or telling me they ran my credit card in dollars. The exchange rate they gave me was bad so I paid more than I would have paid if they charged me in pesos. AND the waiter denied charging me in dollars even though it was clearly marked on the receipt after they ran my card.
This restaurant is not in a tourist neighborhood and we were the only obvious foreigners in there. The waiter only spoke Spanish to us and we spoke Spanish to him. There was no reason to think we would want to be charged in dollars.
I can’t say anything nice about a restaurant that trains it’s staff to take advantage of foreigners.
The overcooked meal isn’t good enough...

We were expecting a small restaurant and we were disappointed at first by realizing it was a street joint, and nearly made the mistake of leaving. The glorious smell of real charcoal burning in an Argentinian grill caught our attention. The cleanliness and quality of the meats (we had arrachera and chistorra tortas and one hamburger) made us stay. The owner is a young Argentinian whose pride and attention to detail translate into meat heaven between slightly charred telera buns. We ordered to go and the party of 8 confirmed what our eyes and noses had indicated, simple no frills...
Read moreCame here because the atmosphere and food looked good. Unfortunately, a rib eye ordered medium came super rare. For the price of $800+ absolutely unacceptable. The sides of potatoes and fries weren't hot either, and the creme spinach tasted warmed up but not freshly cooked. The arrachera steak was probably the worst I had. And when paying I was just asked if I wanted to leave a tip instead of inquiring about how the food was. Sad experience. And, please don't tell me to contact you on socials and that you remain 'attentive' - that's not shown in your everyday service or the kind of food...
