Mandragora vegan — Restaurant in Mexico City

My husband ordered 3 different tacos and chiabata and I ordered a burrito. My husband said it were the worst tacos he had, they lack flavour and they were falling apart. Chiabata was actually torta. I liked my burrito and chiabata was fine too for me, ( my husband was disappointed with it too as the chees and the jamon were not heated or melted) until I found dog hair in each of the dishes, even on French fries. The place is cozy and clean, it’s central yet calm neighbourhood and the staff are friendly too but when I went to wash my hands I saw the dog was in the middle of the kitchen as the kitchen is open and the dog can enter and exit freely. To be honest I was very surprised to see that but that explained why there was so much dog hair in our food. We’ve been to more places that owns dogs in a restaurant but never did I see a dog in the kitchen as well as never did we got dogs hair in our food. I’m afraid...

Mandragora Vegan Café – Roma Norte, Mexico The entire menu is 100% vegan and varied – from hearty breakfast bowls to creative Mexican-inspired plates. Language barrier? Not here. Just scan the QR code on the table and boom – the full menu flips to perfect English (or Spanish). Huge win for travelers. We ordered cappuccinos that were quite good: velvety foam, perfectly sweet, and served with A sprinkle of cinnamon. We liked the fresh house-made pico de gallo on the side – The enchiladas stuffed with tofu and covered with mole was the favorite dish we tried.

When I was in CDMX for a month, Mandragora was my go-to dinner. It has a chill atmosphere and tasty vegan food. The ingredients are high-quality, and each meal is made with great care. It's a more intimate restaurant with maybe 10 seats and a handful of small tables. Also has a great location.

The owner, Vlad, is the driving force behind making the restaurant a cool and quaint place. He's a singer in a band, so you can enjoy some rock music while you enjoy your meal!
