Súper Mikasa — Local services in Mexico City

I used to love this place, but I recently had an experience that made me feel very unsafe, and it's fair to say I will never be back.

I had to make a quick stop to buy a few things and was in the store for a grand total of 6-7 minutes. When I came out, the viene viene told me someone had hit my motorcycle, but every thing was ok. A closer look revealed things definitely were NOT okay: the brake handle was bent, the side mirror was cracked, and the entire left side of the bike was badly scraped up.

Since the motorcycle was rented, I wanted to know who had hit it, as I would have to file an insurance report to avoid being charged. I asked the viene viene to describe the person who hit the motorcycle, and things should have ended there. Instead, he got very angry and started yelling at me, accusing me of illegally parking my motorcycle and of inventing false accusations. He became physically aggressive with his coworker, who tried to intervene to calm things down. Then he called the police, who thankfully did a great job of diffusing the situation and convincing him to leave.

From a witness's story, it sounds like the person who hit the bike may have been a family member of the owners. Unfortunately, when I was finally able to call the insurer, I was forced to wait outside the supermarket for an hour. Although multiple employees saw how their parking attendent had treated me, no one came out to apologize. Instead, they moved the SUV that had hit the motorcycle so the insurer couldn't hold them responsible when they arrived.

This is not how any store should treat their customers, and knowing that MiKasa employs people with serious anger management issues, I cannot feel safe going back. I've been a customer for three years, but this will be the last time I...

2025 #24 (CDMX #24; Japanese #3, Sushi #3): I had come here many times over the past few years but never bough/tried anything.

Recently came here to pick up sake to accompany some sashimi we were going to pick up from elsewhere in Roma Norte. Once we arrived, we were a bit lazy and decided to just grab some sushi from here as well to get to eating sooner.

For $100 you have a handful of choices of 8 piece sushi from california rolls to inari to Philadelphia rolls. If you are lucky, they even have rolls topped with salmon. While it's definitely not the best sushi in the world (or even CDMX), for $100 pesos it's hard to complain. We particularly enjoy the California empanizado (10 pieces!), the inari, and the Sapporo(?) roll.

They also have various fried food over rice, salads, and other one-off fried items as well.

Their sake selection is decent and their prices are the cheapest I have found in the city. We come here any time we need to stock up on sake and/or are craving some cheap sushi to eat at home.

Also be sure to give Fukusuke Udon downstairs a try for delicious udon (and if you enjoy it, you can buy frozen udon noodles upstairs)!

Fantastic place to buy authentic Japanese food and ingredients.

But also it has fleshly made udon which is awsome.

A ramen restaurant which has a good flavor and good price.

They also sell the only freshly made takoyaki and the best.

Near the takeyaki you will find them selling the sweet fish shaped sweet Japanese pancakes which are awsome.

During weekends they have a bbq of different Japanese dishes all great.

And an alternative during all week they will sell obento or lunch boxes, all great to taste.

They also have this Japanese item shop, everything for 49 pesos, good quality products!! And some really cheap.

The place has parking, and bathrooms.

They open at 11 am and close at 5 pm

They also have an arrangement with a parking lot that is one building in distance from them, so they will give you 1 hr free parking on weekends. (the entrance is passing the ecobici stop)
