Panificadora Ermita — Restaurant in Mexico City

I love all of the fancy bakeries in CDMX, but Panificadora Ermita is a completely different experience, and was my favorite bakery during my recent trip. This is more of a grab-and-go bakery “de toda la vida” where you enter and immediately see shelves and baking racks full of fresh-baked pan dulce. It smells so good! Grab a tray and some tongs and go for it! Everything is HUGE and the prices are low. I had the absolute best concha I have ever had here. I speak Spanish (there weren’t any tourists here when I went, but I went early and appreciated that their opening hours accommodate early risers!), but I imagine it wouldn’t be too difficult to navigate if you don’t speak Spanish because they calculate your bill on a handheld calculator and would probably just show it to you if you needed to...

I wanted some sweets after breakfast and saw this place. Got in just to buy a piece. It was so good. Tender and flaky dough. I never had a pastry like this in Houston. What a treat to just have a local bakery creates these magnificent treats. Highly recommended!

I love this bakery and the people work there. I came back almost every day just to pick up a new pastry to try out since they have so many good things. The size of these pastry and donuts are gigantic. I was shocked at the size but the owner just want to serve the customers which is a very good deed. I have visited several bakeries in different area of Mexico City but I love this one the most and thankfully I am so close to it 😉

Pésimo servicio el pan está bueno nada fuera de lo normal pero la señora que me atendió parece que te está regalando el pan para empezar con sus carotas después me pone mi pan en una bolsita que ni cabían mis panes y todavía te venden la bolsa a $3 yo no lo recomiendo solo si quieres que te traten menos es hay nunca regresaré y menos recomendar la dichosa panificadora no se cómo an vendido durante este tiempo menos con la respuesta toda tonta del dueño señor por si no sabe la atención al cliente es importante de nada sirve que vendas lo mejor si tú actitud deja mucho que desear.
