Pastries galore, but yet another café with overpriced oat milk! Even after arriving in the afternoon, the smell of freshly baked pastries filled the air, and plenty of the day’s bread was still on display. After an awkward encounter with the barista, we ordered an espresso and a chai latte with non-dairy milk. Although my personal favorite is oat milk, the prices were insanely high—$27 for a small drink and $40 for a larger one, with most beverages falling into the larger category. It didn’t mention what brand of oat milk was used, but $40 is INSANELY expensive and feels like outright price gouging. We settled on sharing an almond croissant, which was decent. The overall vibe of the place, while aesthetically pleasing, gave off the impression that it caters more to foreigners than to locals. I was greatly disappointed by the price gouging, and although the service was average, it could have been better.

Best coffee I’ve had in CDMX, the coco latte is not to be missed! Smells like fresh bread and in a really sweet neighborhood, a perfect morning stop before heading to one of Barragán’s houses and lots of art galleries walkable! The berry bowl is divine - their vanilla yogurt is some of the best I’ve had and all berries are so fresh, could eat everyday. Wonderful orange juice and the avocado toast with egg was so warm and fresh too. Such a sweet spot and cannot recommend it highly enough! Service was so kind, patient, and welcoming. We came back twice on our trip it was that amazing.

This restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. The food tends to be bland, overpriced, and the management is extremely disappointing.

We ordered 6 dishes for a table of 4. One of the dishes was very poorly made and the taste was off. Upon asking if we could return that single dish, the management and waiters refused to take it back. We kindly asked if they could remove the dish since we would not eat it, 15 minutes later they returned the dish packed in a box.

As someone who’s worked as a waiter and a cook for years, I was very impressed by the hostility and total lack of understanding when it came to the fact that one of their dishes could be unsavory and unpleasant.

As a local to CDMX I must also add that this restaurant does not represent the impecable attention and service that most restaurants always have in this city. I found Marne unwelcoming...

SMC is full of beautiful little secrets and Marne is definitely one of them!

TIP: sit outside in the afternoon, bring a good book, order your favorite drink and buy their chocolate chip cookie! You will not regret it.

I give this place 3 stars bc there is absolutely no place to charge your phone or computer. The amount of times I have chosen somewhere else over Marne for that very reason is …..

I really wish they had plugs. But if you want to just journal or read and no work… then this place is for you!

Their staff is very kind and I love the furniture outside.

TIP # 2: try their curated wine collection and order a loaf of their sourdough bread to...
