Sandoi — Restaurant in Mexico City

This newly opened meat meets seafood restaurant hits all the right notes. The chef at Sandoichas curated an immaculate concise menu. Before even getting into the food, I need to take a moment to discuss the setting and service. The main dining room is the perfect marriage between nature, modernism, and clean architecture. The chairs, with green soft suede lining, are extremely comfortable and make the experience exponentially better. The service was spot on from the start. Their attentiveness and attention to detail mimicked a fine dining experience of a seasoned restaurant. Now back to the main attraction: the food. I started off with the Juego de Carne, a rich umami beef broth that warmed the body and awakened my pallette. Next, I went for the generous serving of burrata with garden fresh tomatoes and pesto. Classic, clean and delicious. To finish it off, I had the rib eye burger. Being from New York City, my burger standards are quite high and, honestly, I almost never order one in a restaurant but the owner, Julio (who is a genuinely amazing guy) suggested it and I'm glad he did. Cooked perfectly, topped with melted cheese, this burger was one of the best I've ever had. Unfortunately i had no room for dessert, but you can guarantee I'll be back very soon. Great place. Spent a while on google looking for a good-looking restaurant to check out in Mexico city, which isn't something I'd do typically, but I'm so glad I did. Manager was most friendly and accommodating. Suggested a great number of dishes. Fresh and tasty cuisine! Had a great time...
