I’ve been to Aeroméxico lounges before in Mexico City during a connection and they were phenomenal—but this lounge was a huge disappointment. Because of current airport construction, the main lounge is closed, and the only option offered is this one. Honestly, it’s one of the worst lounges I’ve ever been in.
The food choices were extremely limited—literally just tortilla chips, salsa, and cereal. No hot buffet. I later found out they will make eggs if you ask, but they don’t put them out, which makes no sense. Seating is uncomfortable with just tables and chairs, no relaxing lounge chairs, and there are no showers. They do have a bar, some cold drinks in the fridge, and coffee if you specifically ask, but that’s about it.
On top of that, the construction in the airport is extremely loud—so loud that you may want to wear earbuds or noise-canceling headphones just to walk through the area. Definitely not the relaxing lounge experience you’d expect.
To make things worse, you can’t just walk in—you have to scan a QR code and then wait until they have availability to let you in. Not convenient at all, especially if you’re in a rush.
Out of all the airline lounges I’ve visited, this was by far the most disappointing. Even flying first class, I wouldn’t want to come back here—not even for free. I highly do not recommend this lounge.

Read moreI recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at a lounge, largely due to the unprofessional and disorganized behavior of the reception staff. From the outset, it was clear they had no idea what was going on—or worse, were intentionally screening guests without proper transparency.
Initially, I was told there would be a 40-minute wait. After waiting patiently, I was informed it would be another 15-20 minutes. This felt like a clear attempt to stall and deter guests from entering, even though the lounge appeared far from full. When I inquired about the capacity, the staff claimed they were prioritizing business-class customers. However, they couldn’t provide any written policy to support this claim.
Additionally, they mentioned a limit of one guest per cardholder, a rule not stated on the lounge’s website. When asked for documentation, they failed to produce anything to back their statements. Their dismissive attitude became even more apparent when I requested to speak to a manager. At that point, their grasp of English seemed to conveniently disappear.
The experience was nothing short of horrendous—rude, unhelpful, and utterly lacking in customer service. It’s disappointing that such behavior is tolerated in a setting meant to offer relaxation and convenience. This lounge needs to address its staff training and communication...
Read moreUpdate - we finally were allowed into the lounge after waiting 4× hours. There was no food put out as it was past 8pm and there was a very minimal menu selection (like four items) available. The lounge is "By Heinekin" (lots of Heineken advertising around the room and on the TVs) but they did not have any Heineken beer available. The only beer that was available was barely colder than room temperature. It was extremely sad.
We purchased an AeroMexico Premier seat in order to access the lounge during our long layover. They would only let us into the lounge 2.5 hours prior to our flight, and then the line-up to get in was very long. The other AeroMexico lounges at MEX have been under construction for months and are not available at all. Many, many AeroMexico passengers were very upset and...
