Restaurant Villa San José in Bella Vista, Morelia, is a luxurious gem tucked within the beautiful Hotel Villa San José. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the serene and elegant atmosphere. Surrounded by lush trees and beautifully landscaped grounds, the setting is both tranquil and upscale.
One of the most charming features is the small, man-made creek that flows alongside the restaurant, separating the indoor dining room from the outdoor patio. We brought our small dog with us and were delighted to see a pet-friendly sign welcoming furry companions in the outdoor seating area.
But what truly took our breath away was the view. Perched atop a hill, the restaurant offers a sweeping, nearly 180-degree panorama of the city of Morelia. It’s absolutely stunning—worth the visit for the view alone.
The food and service, however, made the experience even more exceptional. We started with a delicious appetizer platter that included steak, chorizo, guacamole, and sautéed mushrooms—each bite was rich and flavorful. For our entrées, my companion had a chicken breast stuffed with spinach and covered in a creamy mushroom sauce, while I opted for the salmon in white wine sauce. Both dishes were served with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. The portions were very generous—we couldn’t finish everything and happily brought some home.
The service was top-notch: attentive, professional, and friendly without being overbearing.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting Morelia, I highly recommend Restaurant Villa San José for a fine dining experience with incredible food, excellent service, and some of the best views in the city. We’ll definitely...
