Balché at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta — Restaurant in Nayarit

A very pleasant and welcomed surprise at this beach front / pool side bar. I orded ceviche and nachos (sans cheese) and several drinks. Not only was the service extremely fast but everything was excellent!

The pool area was immaculate, despite children running around and having a good time. The pool itself is quite large, but family friendly with areas for young children. Food and beverages can be ordered and eaten by the pool or at one of the tables.

The beach was extremely well kept in every way. There were several stationary vendors with beach items for sale, along with the typical trinkets you would normally find for sale on vacation. A few vendors can be found walking along the boardwalk selling excursions out in town or for the beach itself. Snorkeling, parasailing etc.

Thus far this definitely one of the top spots I've had the chance to visit on my trip. No stress found here in anyway shape or form. I will be returning over the next few days.

For the folks who aren't happy with the prices, options and portion size. This is luxury resort and you can expect to find luxury pricing (although I don't think it's expensive). It takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to make this place look and feel as it should. Good service is not cheap and cheap service is not good.

I don’t understand why they can’t just put exclusive status in description not to confuse the public. Such a waste of time and cab fare. Plus being treated like a criminal with 3 security people surrounding me after I placed an order. Advertised as a pool restaurant by the beach we came expecting to lounge, cool in pools and eat good food, BUT only to be told we can’t use the pool since we don’t stay at the hotels here. That is after they took my passport at the gate and we drove on a shuttle and walked 10 minutes more. They offered to just eat and watch others splash and play poolside. What a joke. Even so, the food only had snack options and not real dining. How was I supposed to tell my kids we came all the way here and going to turn around and leave? I need to say we have an amazing pool where we stay, so we have no need or intention to pool crush, we were just in the area and wanted to dine in a beautiful setting. The margherita pizza was so floppy and not at all how it was advertised on the app (cheese spread all over with cherry tomatoes and basil). It did not have basil, the tomatoes were massive slices, and the mozzarella cheese was in big circles scattered around the dough. It fell apart as soon as I tried to pick it up by the crust. It was just chewy dough and chewy cheese. As a vegetarian, I was hoping for better quality options at this restaurant by the pool as well as around the whole resort but unfortunately I only really enjoyed the chips and guac.
