Beautiful gondola and it looks like the views would be amazing! BUT! You can’t actually ride it, it seems.
We’re staying at the Vidanta resort and it was not explained at any point during check in how the gondola and upper parks worked. We made it most of the way through our stay and wanted to take a ride on it for the views. We talked to the person manning it, who said we had to talk to the concierge. So we head back to concierge at our hotel and are told that you can only ride it if you’re going to the park, and you can only go to the park on Thursdays. It’s Friday, and we leave Sunday. Had we known this, we may have done it on Thursday.

This is the Gondola you see when coming into Nuevo Vallarta. It starts at the beach (Mayan Resort) and goes towards the bridge you go over driving towards the resorts. You CAN NOT go and buy a Gondola ticket. They will turn you away and say you need to “see your hotel concierge”….AKA you have to sit through the Mayan Timeshare Brief to get tickets. We have a 9am brief for “only 1 hour”and it was canceled because we told them we have a excursion at noon. So that just told me, that’s the “1 hour brief” wasn’t really going to be 1 hour.
Good luck! Wish I had...
