Looking at the reviews you’d think nothing can go wrong going to this place, boy was I wrong. Food just fkn horrible, not one to complain about the price if the spot is worth it, we ordered a parrillada for 2 for $450 pesos. The burner that comes to “keep it warm” was off. Everything was cold, stiff ribs and the beef was just awful, I tried to eat a taco I just couldn’t, is 4 pieces of meat I mean come on buy a better meat. Is like 150gms and half a rack of bbq ribs. We just left it there. We waited a long time for it so I didn’t even try to exchange it. Just wanted to get out of there. Quesadillas were just ok but compared to that nasty ass meat they were way better. Ordered a carajillo for my wife and the waiter told us it’d be q few minutes because the espresso was made on the spot, made no damn sense since espresso takes seconds to brew, we said ok and 25 min later I asked the guy, he had forgotten, he apologized and we just ordered another mimosa which by the way was the best thing we had there. I commented about the meat since he asked why we hadn't eaten it, he said it was too tough huh? So I guess they know about it, guac is just 50% tomato. I don't know why this place has almost 5 stars, I'm guessing their breakfast is fkn awesome but their lunch is not. The place is beautiful and the customer service (except the carajillo part) is top notch but the food omg probably the worst meat I've had in vallarta. And I've been all over town. Skip this place at all cost if you're looking for...
Read moreCrazy good. They had English speakers on staff which made communicating our needs and wants incredibly easy. The staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful. I had the Enmoladas and Cucaracha shrimp (med - perfect for me and I eat med-spicy in the US). Enmoladas were perfect - came hot and I finished it in record time. The shrimp tasted amazing, but I learned midway that you're supposed to eat the whole thing - head and shell. I tried to eat it properly, but I can't eat eyes and the shell kept getting stuck in my throat. So, I got it packed and ate it wrong later. Sincerely delicious, but I don't think I'd get it again because of how it's meant to be eaten and me not really being used to it. The place looked gorgeous. Everything, from the tables to the plates, looked so pretty! I had a wonderful time here and Will...
Read moreWhile walking I noticed this beautiful little oasis and went to dinner there that same day. Quaint and lovely Mexican decor. Polite and attentive staff. Food was great. Had a very authentic presentation and taste. Prices very affordable. They fix your meal when it's ordered so it may take 20 minutes or so. While we waited we were served complimentary house soup (fideo) which was so good we took some home. The drinks (not ours) were very colorful and sure looked tasty. We had the house flan. Very good.
All In all a great experience. They serve breakfast and lunch also. It is in jarretareras little town in Nuevo vallarta. They are building it up and there is a lot of new and ongoing construction. As more people discover this gem I'm sure they will continue to get...
