A modern Italian restaurant. Music in the background is soft enough to allow for conversation. Greetings are great and helpful. Wine arrived quickly as did my bread. Before I even finished one piece of bread, however, my meal showed up. That means my meal will be cold be the time I finish my bread. To break it down, I ordered wine and a meal at the same time. Approximately 1 minute later, my wine came out. 1 more minute later, bread came out. 1 more minute later, lasagna came out. Does anything scream microwave to you? If i wanted fast food, i would go to McDonald's. I come to a place like this for some leisure time. Not to be rushed. By the time someone came to ask why I was not eating my lasagna, it was cold. I ate the bread and it was good. That is the only thing I can say good about this experience. What started off as promising went downhill quickly. A manager brought me back the same piece of lasagna, stating it was fine and not microwaved. How do you bring food out 3 minutes after ordering without it being microwaved? Corners curled up and dried out. Sorry, but I do not see the logic. Overall disappointed. Please note. This place seems very popular, so my experience may not be indicative of the norm. Try it, and make your own opinions.
PS, went down the street to Encore...
Read moreBe waiting to go there since I saw the sign, was many times in P.V. Amazing there, but unfortunately not in Bucerías, I phoned amd asked for reservations they told me they didn’t have that. So walk all the way from north side of Bucerias. We get there and put are name down, we were they 10 mins we were told 25 mins, A Mexican family came up and man walked right in and his wife said there had reservations. So I asked why was told no reservations, They got in and was seated immediately. When we finally got in and ordered my husband food came and was not warm but cold after the outside bite.First time I have ever send something back for them to fixed it And it was the first time I have seen him not tip at all . And he has always tips 20-25 % And the waiter argued with him after he told him why. I wish the best to Mark that owned Mark’s they were there as well.Wish they were still open. You never in 30 years had that. It was staff that wasn’t honest on the reservations, good for one and not the other. Sadly...
Read moreAfter being sat on the curb with dusty old cars behind us we selected their most expensive bottle of red from Italy. After corking I could confidently say there was enough vinegar in that bottle to make a salad. It was turned. At first our waiter brought us a different bottle than we originally ordered (he didn’t know the wine list) then they proceeded to come to our table and tell us we are wrong and that’s how the wine tastes. Restaurant 101, the customer is always right. Apologize and make it right. Not continuously push the bottle on us three times when we expressed our dislike and disappointment in the bottle. I regularly drink Caymus and Vintage wines so it was surprising to me they sell higher end bottles with no sommelier, just a bartender. After 45 minutes at the table with turned wine and no food orders placed, we stood up and left. I will not be back and hope the staff gets a better attitude in regards to how they treat customers ordering their most expensive things on...
