What a fantastic experience!!! I can truly say that was the best meal of my life. When we arrived at the restaurant, my sister in law had made sure we sat at one particular table, so I could see the kitchen, it was an open concept. We started by ordering some wine and began chatting, that is when I noticed there was a manual pasta machine in the kitchen and a man making the pasta to order, what a good sign that is! We finally determined what we would order, fettuccini and ravioli. I had a ravioli stuffed with sausage, porcini mushrooms bathed in a cream sauce with provolone and sun dried tomatoes. The other two orders were fettuccini, one in a cream sauce with sausage, mushrooms and arugula and the other with bolognese sauce that had been slowly cooked all day. Almost immediately after we put our order in, I saw them making the fettuccini in the pasta maker, but to my surprise, he began making my ravioli right then and there. I was surprised and delighted!! I knew I was in for a real treat. While our meals were being prepared, our server Marco(Also the owner) brought us a basket of warm fresh bread out of the wood fired oven, it was accompanied by the most delicious dipping sauce. It was hard to hold back on the bread, but we had to leave room for the pasta! The meals arrived, plated very neatly, with care and attention. Needless to say all are meals were cooked perfectly, the flavours were incredible, amazing textures and richness. Marco, our server and the owner, was a fantastic host. I highly recommend a visit to this establishment when you are...

My Husband & I come from NYC.....acclaimed for some of the best restaurants in the world. In Sayulita Marcolino is our favorite( we love their lasagna) & can compete in NYC as well as Florence & Rome for amazing food. Besides the welcoming....amazing staff....they were there to help my husband when he collapsed in their restaurant. Marco helped carry him to a golf cart to get him to St Lukes in Sayulita. Later that evening Marco came to the Hospital to return my husbands phone & find out how he was doing & refused to take $$$ for dinner. So besides amazing food....welcoming staff....they have hearts of GOLD....Thank-you so much & we will see you next yearMarco.....an update to this review...when we arrived home & our Dr translated the paperwork...my husband had a heart attack....a major artery(lad) was blocked.....you saved his life that night. There are no words...

The service is excellent and everything (okay the bruschetta was mediocre and the deep fried squid and shrimp app wasn’t great) was delicious. Four of us had salads, caprese and the one with walnuts and pears, a pizza, a ravioli ( pink sauce with smoked cheese and spicy sausage… delicious!) and the ribeye with porcini cream sauce ( the steak was a bit chewy but cooked perfectly and delicious sauce). With 2 liters of tinto…excellent and the bill was 2410 pesos!! We were so delighted we got another half liter and a couple tiramisu’s. All for under 3000! ( the bruschetta was from the first time if you go and find the math doesn’t work) Superb value. Absolutely charming servers. Note they do offer spicy oil for you pizza. They are not kidding when they...

I must say I was hesitant to go Italian in Mexico after living in Italy, however he listed Caputo flour as the base for his dough and fresh pasta. That is what I use, and it is one of the best on the market. I enjoyed the pizza more than the pasta, although it was fresh the tomato sauce in the rendition with eggplant and artichoke was a bit cloying. The bolognese my friend had was divine, however, and the pizza was well constructed and cooked. Be warned: spicy salami is SPICY! The nice touch of the wood fired flat bread with a mushroom sauce to start was a great way to commence the dinner, and we followed it with a rocket salad with cherry tomatoes and balsamic. I would not hesitate to go back when another pizza craving lands.

We made a last minute decision to go out for a light dinner and ended up at Marcolino’s sharing the best pizza (Stella) we’ve had in Sayulita. The pizza and house red wine made us so happy that we ordered tiramisu and more wine. So much for a light dinner, but it was a great experience. The crust on this pizza has a great texture that you have to kind of tear and the crispness from the wood oven that can’t be achieved any other way. I could eat a whole crust just dipped in some olive oil and some of their tomato sauce. The tiramisu was SO GOOD (and my hubby really isn’t a fan of tiramisu) with plenty of cinnamon and not overly dense. We will be back for the handmade pasta very soon.
