MIKOH — Restaurant in Nayarit

The food was absolutely amazing we ordered a lot. Two different rolls, pork belly, chicken kebab, Mixed tempanyaki, a rice dish, and drinks. Food was super fresh, great presentation, great sauces I do recommend the restaurant. However, I do not recommend Martin as a waiter.

Not only was he a bit rude throughout our dining experience which is also on DAY 1 of our trip. So after a while we decided to get our food to go and just enjoy it in peace at our air b n b. When the bill came. It was $97 USD ( tax included) . We left $120 USD with $23 USD as a tip. Which is $31 Canadian too. However $19.40 would’ve been 20%. So we found it sufficient as how our service was. We know they make money mainly from tips as do servers back home. He infront of all the tables around us too loudly counted out and spread out the cash on our table. He said that tipping $23 on $97 was not enough. He needed more. He demanded at least another $10 otherwise he wasn’t going to leave our table. Feeling incredibly uncomfortable we paid it and immediately left. Due to this alone, we for sure won’t be back. The food was good but not worth the embarrassment and truly for mediocre and slightly rude service to HAVING TO TIP 34%!!! We will not be recommending any of our friends go either. Actually...

I had the pleasure of stopping by Mikoh in Bucerías on April 27 with a few friends for a quick drink at the bar, but our experience was so outstanding that we immediately made a reservation to come back the next night for dinner! The service we received was nothing short of incredible. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
