Honestly one of the worst dining experiences we have had in Punta Mita. A tourist trap that convinces visitors it is very quality, affordable local food because of its location, outside of the Punta mita gates. We sat down and received very slow service, and we ordered the tostaditas, tacos, and quesadillas. The quesadillas didn’t even have cheese (I know, right?) and if they did, an unnoticeable amount. The tostaditas are just a crispy tortilla with meat on top (same as their quesadilla, but with only one tortilla) and were extremely bland. The pork (pibil) was tasty alone, but the beef was hard to consume. It tasted very low quality and was unfortunately left behind by us. When we got the check, it was crazy expensive for what we got, given the simplicity of the dishes and especially compared to other places in town. I would say you could feed 6 people in town at another local place (tacos “trevi”, Norma’s tacos, etc.) for 1/5 of the price. The main reason I give this place 1 star is because of the very high prices and poor tasting, bland foods that are beaten by many of the delicious local taco joints Punta Mita has to offer. If you are visiting, I strongly recommend eating at a more local, flavorful joint for the...
Read moreTacos y Papas is Punta de Mitas' hidden gem. By far, it is my favorite restaurant in Punta de Mita. This family owned restaurant is the first I visit each year. I've enjoyed their quesidillas and the papas for the last 10 years. The papas (stuffed potatoes) are loaded with lovely Julienned mild peppers and carrots, plus lots of additional toppings, and a generous portion of beef or chicken. They are creamy and very tasty. The quesidillas are equally delicious. Great Margaritas, too, plus a wide assortment of beverages for adults and children. The kitchen is very accommodating to diners with allergies or dietary preferences. It is a lovely spot in a relaxed outdoor setting and an authentic Mexican atmosphere. This family will take good care of you. Don't miss out!...
Read morePlease don't go here. You'll spend as much as if you went to nicer place with better food. Tacos are "cheap" so that you don't notice that everything else is overpriced. The meat is not tasty neither good quality. We asked for a dessert, it was an almost invisible slice of flan for 100 pesos. Whenever they bring the check they won't put the prices next to what you had, just the total amount, which is very dishonest and NOT a normal practice in Mexico. When I complained about this they were extremely rude and had me do my own check with the menu. It's a tourist trap, there are many options that are far better and do not have as bad service and...
