We live mostly in USA but have a place in El Anclote so we are in Punta Mita several times a year. It's fair to say that in USA, burgers are one of my favorite foods. My tastes may be different that yours, but the Alma burger is really good. It even had a bit of "crunch" on the edges that I really liked. Also, the service was outstanding. I asked if I could substitute the onion rings for the fries and that was fine. The onion rings turned out to be amazing. Could well be the best onion rings I have ever had anywhere. One minor thing was that the the secret sauce tased like it was a tad high on the mustard flavor for me. I think the typical secret sauce in USA is more commonly just Russian dressing so it doesn't have mustard in it. Price was also reasonable. As much as I like burgers, in USA I rarely go out for them any more after an evening at a Five Guys where two burgers, two drinks, and a shared order of fries was over $50. I was shocked. At Alma, the fries or onion rings are included so the total with a couple of sodas for the two of us was 600 pesos including 20% tip. There is a lot of great food in Punta Mita but Alama is the only place specializing in burgers (other than the Hamburguesa Truck up on the corner). We will be back for sure.

We went with a good sized group and we literally sampled all the menu options. We LOVED everything. The mahi mahi sandwich might have been my favorite but then again that burger was amazing šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø Iā€™ve never liked beetsā€¦but then Alma made me completely change my mind about beetsā€¦ whipped goat cheese and pistachios are involved! If your looking for delicious food, great drinks and a good timeā€¦this is your place!
