This was recommended by our hotel bartender. We have eaten at a dozen restaurants in Punta de Mita in the last 8 days. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the service was fantastic. An ideal setting that was very romantic. Upon entering they offer a cocktail in the bar, be sure to ask for the price as they are not posted, the one we asked about was 380 pesos so we passed on it. After 10 minutes we were seated at our table. It was very lovely right beside a fireplace. We ordered the Caprese apple appetizer which was very good, and the focaccia they serve is delicious . However, the main pasta we had was subpar. The lasagna was not top quality, the sauce was like tomato soup, and the dish itslefwas lacking overall substance and flavour. We have eaten in Italy many times and this misses the traditional flavors. The gnocha Italian sausage dish was good, but compared to the price point I would not order it again. The cocktail and wine prices are expensive even compared to the restaunts along the beach. So I guess it depends what you are looking for in a meal. For us the meal was average and when you factor in the cost there are better...

Both were delicious. They have a vocalist they nicknamed the Mexican Elvis and that is spot on. The music Playlist varied from Elvis, to 80s favorites, and all over the board. His voice is silky and perfect for the ambiance. He takes requests and is a key part of the experience at Casa Teresa. I did not have a chance to speak to the owner before we left though he visited our table several times during our dinner. I would have told him how impressed we were and how much we enjoyed our time at his home based restaurant. 10/10...

However, either the wine, or maybe the tomatoes we ate gave 3 of the 6 of us severe food poisoning later that night. It was an all-nighter.
I know managing that in a foreign country can be difficult with sanitation varying so much. So, I don’t hold it against Casa Teresa too much. However, it did severely impact my vacation in a negative way. Thank you, Punta Mita Hospital for the IV!
Would still recommend Casa Teresa based on all of the positive reviews since. I assume our experience...
