The food and service are going downhill. This is usually one of the restaurants we frequently visit here on location. Disappointingly this will be our last. My wife's dish had missing shrimp. They did replace it but with no apologies and it took a while. My steak came in barely warm to the touch. I should have sent it back but the wait was so long even with a half empty restaurant on a Saturday night (this should have been a clue). Wife got full eating bread and appetizers while waiting for her meal to be redone. My teenager barely touched her meal (nothing wrong with, it was just late at night for her). So we wanted and were VERY CLEAR to the server that we wanted to take those two meals and my salad with us. He nods his head and takes those specific plates presumably to pack them while leaving the other plates to be bussed by others (as he should). Time goes by and we keep asking where's our food? Evidently, they threw out almost full plates and untouched salad. We were horrified. They replace the two meals with half size portions and no salad. To tired to argue. Still left a 15% gratuity when I typically leave 25-30% since covid. I absolutely feel like the fool. We didn't even wait for dessert. Honestly, we had better food and service at the pool area restaurants which we...
Read moreThe Riviera Maya Tramonto is by far the best restaurant I’ve had the chance to eat at in Vidanta. The Nuevo counterpart was a big disappointment. Polo a la parmigiana chicken was extremely over cooked , hard and must have been prepared way earlier. It was then breaded, cheese was stuffed inside of it but when it was served it was cold. The cheese not even melted and they didn’t bother with the tomato sauce. The plate did come with a small side portion of spaghetti in an oil garlic sauce that was hot and delicious. So how can one part of the meal be cold not cooked properly and on the same plate, the other is hot and perfect? When the waiter noticed that I wasn’t eating my dish he asked what was wrong and I told him. He offered to have it warmed up!!! Then the food manager showed up and asked if we could replace the dish or try something else. Nice of them but by then my quest had nearly finished with her plate and I decided not to take them up on the offer. When the bill came, they had no problems charging me for this failed meal. So I in turn have no problems giving them a 1 star rating. Service was good,...
Read moreJust DON’T GO THERE! Prices there are sky high, food is mediocre at the best, quality of food is not what you expect to have. There are much better places in Nuevo Vallarta ( around Sea Garden Hotel, behind OXXO). You can have great experience in CAPTOSTA Italian restaurant. We were in Tramonto on slow week day night. We ordered Cesar salad, cheese and meet appetizer, tortellini soup, risotto, and lasagna. The appetizer has included ( literally) 10 little olives, 10 capers ,a slice of mortadella, a slice of carpaccio, a slice of prosciutto, and three ping pong ball size of blue , Gouda, and Swiss cheeses. And ALL of it for $15 !!!! Not worth that money at all. My BF had tortellini soup, he said it was ok, yeah, just ok. When his lasagna was served, it looked sad and didn’t look like lasagna, just two sheets of pasta layered with some suspicious sauce. Lasagna looked so unappetizing, I was really concerned for my BF’s well being. My risotto was so-so, shrimp was ok, but rice was undercooked. Lack of flavor and presentation. Bottom line: place is overrated, mediocre food at the best, very pricey. Two stars for...
