Almacén 42 — Restaurant in Nuevo León

Thursday's live jazz is amazing, the volume could be improved, it's too loud for such a small space. But other than that... Every time I've been there has been a really bad experience. Once the waiter tried to overcharge a table of foreign people 16% more claiming the IVA hadn't been included - which isn't true - another time, same waiter. Super bad service, more than 20 mins passed for someone to realize (because I keep waving at the corner where more than 4 members of staff were chuckling and talking) we hadn't been asked what we were going to order. The same waiter who tried to overcharge came to wait our table, taking more than 20 mins to deliver beer, when we passed the comments to the chief on floor, interested of acknowledging the issue, he made excuses for the waiter saying that he wasn't doing his job because we ordered something "special" - meaning a sandwich with the cheese on the side. Almacén 42 has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Monterrey. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, relaxed, and inviting — a perfect mix of industrial charm and cozy touches. Whether you’re coming for a casual meal with friends or just want to enjoy a drink in a good atmosphere, this place delivers.

The music, the lighting, and the overall layout make it easy to settle in and lose track of time. Staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which makes a big difference when you’re trying to unwind. The crowd is a good mix — locals, creatives, and people just enjoying the space — which gives the place great energy.

Food and drinks? Solid. Their burgers and craft beer selection definitely stand out, but even the small bites and cocktails are thoughtfully done. You can tell they care about the details.

This is a small place, BUT, has a terrific variety of good local (so called "artisan") beer.

I was able to try 4 IPAs, a Pilsner and a Lager, all of them VERY good.

The food: I got the short rib tacos, simply delicious.

If you are around, you HAVE to try getting in here.

They also have a "Micro Theater", you can watch a Performance before or after having some beers/food/fun

And something I found actually "weird" (for a Mexican restaurant) is the fact they are Pet Friendly, yes, I was "smelled" by more than one dog
