Born and raised in Monterrey, cabrito is one of my favourite dishes to eat when I visit my family. El Gran Pastor NEVER disappoints! Cabrito tastes fresh, portions are normal to most place, appetizers are great, many options to choose from if you don’t feel like cabrito. Their Frijoles con Veneno are to die for. You get the salad bar with the cabrito purchase, I am sure is included in the steaks, etc. The service I have received from the gentlemen servers has been always amazing. We were offered a chile piquín salsa for the table and it was so spicy but delicious, our server packed it to go for me!!! I definitely recommend...

Clásico lugar regiomontano para degustar el tradicional cabrito o algún otro corte. Me lleve una grata sorpresa con las porciones super generosas que me dieron, por mucha hambre que llevaba no fue suficiente para todo lo que me sirvieron. Pedí una porción de cabrito y de entrada una cabecita para un par de taquitos con tortilla recién hecha con la salsa amartajada que está de uffff, tuve que pedir otra porción. Adicional te reciben con unos frijoles con veneno, te dan un plato de frijoles puercos y la barra de ensaladas que realmente está de sobra porque, lo admito no pude terminar con lo que pedí. Recomendación ve acompañ ado y te aseguro que todavía alcanzará para que lleves a casa. Por supuesto que regresaría con refuerzos.

Classic Monterrey place to taste the traditional goat or some other cut. I was pleasantly surprised with the super generous portions they gave me, as hungry as I was it was not enough for everything they served me. I ordered a portion of goat and as a starter a head for a couple of tacos with freshly made tortilla with the bitter sauce that is so yummy, I had to order another portion. Additionally they greet you with some beans with poison, they give you a plate of pork beans and the salad bar that is really left over because, I admit, I could not finish what I ordered. Not very attentive, their salad bar is incomplete not a lot to choose from.
