Wow wow wow wow wow. I’m a big foodie from London and have been lucky enough to eat at multiple Michelin star restaurants. This place was the best eating experience I had in the whole of Mexico which is saying something (Quinta Roo, Mexico City , puerto Escondido, Zipolite and Oaxaca). Where to start….. Well for starters the location is incredible, right on the beach and totally unassuming, you can see the chef (mother?) at the kitchen with her son(?), and we sat on the upper level and had it all to ourselves. You get again a very unassuming menu, we ate the seafood bisque sort of thing on day one and the following day we went back and had ceviche and tacos. Both times we had the fried plantain with frozen coconut. The food was incredible, again so fresh and unassuming. The flavours were excellent. Honestly this place puts to shame the overpriced and overhyped restaurants elsewhere in Mexico (cough Tulum). This place has to be at some point on one of those chef’s off the beaten track travel food programmes on tv or some kind of chef’s top eats in Mexico. I feel unbelievably lucky to have just come across this place on google maps, at the time it had 4.9 stars which I’ve never seen (and it now has 5). I could keep on wax lyrical about the place but best to go and try the magic yourself. Amazing, this has to become an institution...

Amazing spot for beach views, but service is very slow and food does not taste exceptionally fresh, neither really good. Portions are on the smaller end, too, prices on the higher side - compared to other places on the same beach. I think they don't have a kitchen, as everything takes so long to arrive, and arrives semi cold. The soft tortilla was hard when it arrived - that only happens if you warm it up and then let it get cold again. Probably they get the food from elsewhere.

Edit after answer of owner: your attitude doesn't give me the impression you're open to feedback. I just said I had the impression the food was cooked elsewhere, as it arrived cold. You could try to bring the food out faster, abd when it's still hot and fresh and there won't be any critics. Regarding the price - your restaurant is more expensive than others. That's just a fact and not...

I have experienced fine food all over the world, including Michelin rated fine dining, and the amazing flavors and presentation by Oscar and Didi, both master chefs, rival the best I’ve ever experienced. I’ve now eaten 5 meals there and I’ll return every day I can to savor their creations of traditional Mexican dishes by Oscar and Brazilian influenced Mediterranean fare by Didi.

The ceviche mixes cucumber and grilled pineapple for a combination you won’t find elsewhere. The tortillas are handmade with heirloom masa. The juices are pressed onsite. Try any of the tacos, all fantastic. The Brazilian style sautéed shrimp and salad are simply fantastic. The molcajete is life changing.

Joined by Guillermo who will be introducing a morning gourmet coffee experience soon, they create a very casual, friendly and attentive beachfront eatery you...
