Beautiful views! The food was okay, but the portions were overwhelming. The service was absolutely horrible. I felt like that treated you based on how you look, even though this was a family vacation we were treated like 2nd class maybe because we look Hispanic and my husband's family are locals, Idk but this was very obvious, when I told the man that was charging us about my dissatisfaction with the service, he got defensive and when I stated if my skin was a different color maybe they would provide us with better service, he stayed quiet while a local told me that is how these places are. They charge a 5% for card us, but the system goes randomly down so have cash prepared. The restaurant when we arrived at about 7:30pm had about 8 tables full with 3 wait staff, we didn't leave until 10;30pm I had to continuously go up and ask for things and some stuff never arrived.

1 hour wait time for fish tacos while place was not busy. At first I thought they gave me chicken: the fish was so dry and tasteless, the breading on it floury and dry. My first bite tasted mostly of bread and mayo. The waitress brought olive oil, balsamico and ketchup for my tacos, like she wasn’t thinking at all of what I ordered, but I got salsa upon request. It’s the worst taco I’ve had in all of Mexico or elsewhere. I was very hungry so I ate, but left over half of the fish, as it was frankly disguisting. The Jamaica Margarita was Ok. Tasted like just tequila, jamica and ice. The atmoshphere is very nice, candles on tables and the waves a few meters away, however it’s right next to a bar with neonlights and loud music, which kinda changes the mood.

Went twice. Very large portions! The first time, the beef patty was well overcooked and beers were slightly warm. We were seated at a pretty bad table (so consider to ask/wait for a beachside table), and the service was a little slow. The second time, everything was flawless which is why we end up with five stars. Definitely one of the best places in town when it comes to atmosphere (they have candles and very good 60+ pesos drinks. We paid around 500 pesos for two burgers, 1-2 beers and 3-4 drinks, and we were so full.

Easily the worst food I’ve had in Zipo. No idea why it’s always busy - this place is disorganized and the food quality is beyond mediocre. I understand that it’s a beach restaurant and that the food won’t be super high quality but the way people raved about it is nowhere near the experience I had. Hard pass - don’t bother. The drinks were fine. The server was friendly. Service was slow even for Zipo standards. I had the Hawaiian burger and the bread was stale and it fell apart. The meat was nothing special. I could have made a better quesadilla at home. The garlic fish was okay, but nothing special. The rice that came with it was dry. Had the octopus as well, it was supposed to be a la Mexicana but tasted exactly like the garlic fish and prepared the same way… so either they made a mistake or there is no difference between the two dishes. Do yourself a favour and grab tacos on the Main Street instead of eating here. I hate to give it a bad review but this was really disappointing and not worth the...

We had been there twice before innprevious Years and they had always been very kind to us.

This time, December 29th 2024, we decided to enjoy their food and good service again but SURPRISE!!! For some reason, they we're not as kind as they had previously been. They told us, in a kinda rude way, that we couldn't stay for very long unless we kept eating and drinking there, which is okay and understandable, but they didn't have to be so tough when all we wanted was a place to spend a couple of hours, eat and relax. Also, they said that they didn't have showers and that if we wanted that "that was NOT the place we we're loooking for".

Unnecesary to Say it that way, they could have been more polite since we were going to spend our time and money there with them.

Let's hope that was just an incident and not the way they are...
