This is truly a hidden gem in Oaxaca!! I am so happy I found this restaurant / café on Google. This was one of my favourite meals in Oaxaca, maybe even the best one I had.

The emolada (enchilada in mole) was delicious, the mole was so vibrant and the chicken was super tender and flavourful. I loved the spicy sauces they gave with it. What surprised me even more is that this dish was only 120 pesos!! And for +20 pesos more you can have a combo with coffee AND freshly squeezed orange juice.

The service was so lovely as well. Everyone was smiling all the time. Please go try this local / family owned restaurant yourself, you will...

I really like this quaint little place! We went here twice during our stay in Oaxaca. The atmosphere is very simplistic and clean. The furniture and decorations are very rustic and spruce up the place. The service was really nice, they were patient and I do must say I liked their fashion taste of wearing bandannas every time we came. The only downside was that they did forget a chocolate de agua that I ordered the second time, but by that point I didn't feel like bringing it up. I ordered the omelette both times and kombucha the first time--I think it was my favorite omelette that I'd had in Oaxaca!...

Lovely Oaxaca restaurant with menus that change every day. We had the set menu that started with a lovely broth with avocado, soft cheese (so delicious) and strips of tortillas, followed by a dish with pork, squash, potatoes and rice that had me thanking for going there. And to finish with a flourish, a dessert of fresh fruit and cream (it was so good we ordered extra). Ah, forgot to mention the lovely pineapple and guava juice that comes with the food. Definitely worth it! The set menu is 150 pesos per person, really good...
