Corn & Cea — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Heaven for excellent seafood - one of the best places to eat ceviche on Mexican Pacific Coast: a taxi driver from Pluma Hidalgo recommended the place.

We visited Maiz & Mar in May 2024 and shared a ceviche de pescado and an aguachile de Camaron. Both portions were freshly prepared, well spiced, generous and nicely plated. Moreover very kind , attentive and helpful service! We were a bit late, but still had enough time to eat and enjoy the food. Fair prices, too.

We will come back and try the pescadillas one day :)

This seafood restaurant is a true hidden gem, tucked away a few blocks behind Soriana Supermarket! In our 2 months in Mexico it's the highlight of our food experience, even after spending 2 weeks in Oaxaca city! The food is so fresh, made with love and served with a big smile. The flavors and sauces are all unique. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. The young couple running the restaurant is so friendly and caring.
