Restaurant was pretty much empty when we entered for lunch. 15-20 minutes to get drinks. Anouther hour before we recieved our lunch for 4 of us (an omlette, sandwich, and two simple pasta dishes). Food was just ok, nothing special, nothing terrible. Service was below average as none of the dishes or drinks came out at the same time. A forgettable place at best. Avoid if you don't want to spend 2 hours at a lunch stop. *update: Clearly the owner of this establishment has a problem accepting critism. He resorts to insulting customers rather then taking criticism, apologizing for any deficiencies and learning from this. Calling us "gringos" (which by the way we are not) is an assault to the tourism industry which supports your local economy. The wait time I stated was correct. No explanation was given to us WHILE we waited. Basic food prep before you open would reduce costumer wait times. As a result I have now deducted another service star for being unprofessional at handling costumer complaints. In the service industry the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT. That's a lesson you need to learn. Clearly...

Excellent coffee; some of the best I've had anywhere in Oaxaca. Food is hit or miss. My enfrijoladas were pretty bland, and definitely overpriced for what you get (your mileage may vary... I live in a little town nearby and have developed a very frugal nature... for many people, especially foreigners, the prices will probably seem very inexpensive). On the other hand, my father had a salmon sandwich that he absolutely adored. The atmosphere leaves a little something to be desired, as it can get rather noisy and hot inside. Also, the last time we were there I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos underneath the table (to be fair, this issue isn't exclusive to the cafe... a little bug spray goes a long way around these parts). I would definitely recommend checking them out for coffee...

There is nothing special about this resturant. The service was none existent. We were served a cup of coffee upon arrival and we were there for approximately 80 minutes and never asked if wanted more even when our meal was delivered. We were a group of 4 and 2 meals were deliverd and eaten before the other 2 arrived and cold We couldn't even get their attention. The basic breakfast was nothing special, 2 eggs and 2 very small pieces of bacon and 2pieces of their home made all grain bread. Nothing special. Am I missing something as to why all the great reviews? Been there done that but won't return so many...

This is a great place to go for breakfast! They have fresh juice, espresso, and homemade breads. The owner, Max, makes all the bread fresh every morning... Bread for toast, croissants, chocolate croissants (you have to go early for those), cinnamon rolls.. and whatever wonderful flavors he wamts to make. The omelettes are good and the homemade jam is so good with the bread, it was mango jam when we were there. Highly recommend you go here.

It’s unfortunate that the chairs are so hard and uncomfortable in this cafe. Wait time for my simple plate of scrambled eggs and toast was 1 1/2 hours. Even my coffee took 15 minutes. When we arrived, the café was busy but we would’ve appreciated a heads up about the wait time by the server. I’d recommend only visiting this restaurant when it is empty. Management needs to take a serious look at inefficiencies.

Solid breakfast place in the city center that’s is actually open during the opening hours that Google states. The freshly baked goods were delicious, the juice and fruit water was tasty and we really enjoyed the chilaquiles. The owner was very patient with explaining the menu to us. The vibe and scenery is really cute and relaxing as well.
