El Cortijo Cocktail Room — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Warning: if you love cocktails, you will come here more than once, no matter how long you spend in Oaxaca, because this place is DOPE. The vibes are great, the drinks are delicious (both on the menu and bartender's choice - and you should trust the bartenders there!). There's free wifi if you want to hang out quietly on your phone and drink your cocktail, but really, the best spot here is at the bar, watching Abe and his colleague do their thing. We stayed in Oaxaca very close to that place therefore it was our favorite spot for end of the day drinks. Obviously we did not choose this place over a distance but that the drinks were absolutely great. We always had a nice conversation with Abraham the bartender whose knowledge about drinks is superior. We tried several options and classics and we were always pleasantly surprised . We had dinner on a Saturday night down the road from this bar & met another couple who invited us to have a mezcal with them after dinner. We ended up at El Cortijo at the perfect time just before Dan Salas started playing. We are sooooo impressed with the service & atmosphere in this bar. It was an awesome night.
