EL TROPICAL — Restaurant in Oaxaca

This place has nice juices, but their quality is very questionable.

Here's why: “burritos de camaron” are total fake - they are made of 95% of rice with some onion and carrot + few shrimps.

And the worst part is that shrimps inside are not peeled! They are with the shell and paws... It's uneatable.

So we can expect the juices are made the same way - with unwashed and unpeeled fruits.

We were very disappointed with the quality of food here considering the high ratings of this place.

5 star food all made fresh to order. We ate here twice and both times enjoyed our food greatly. Keep in mind there is only one chef and one waitress, so the food sometimes takes longer than other restaurants, but per quality and value El Tropical is probably the best restaurant in Puerto Escondido. We came here the first night for a burrito and were blown away. One of the nicest I’ve had in my life. The woman was friendly and accommodating and made the burrito in a special way for us since we were in a cleanse. Fan was on full to ward off any mosquitos that may have wanted to bite.
