Spirulina — Restaurant in Oaxaca

The location is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is the best you'll find in Puerto Escondido. The staff are kind and polite, will speak either Spanish or English with no problem, and are very attentive and helpful, even to tourists. Their dishes are tasty and well prepared, with fresh vegetables and herbs from their garden. The place is much bigger than it looks from the front - it has both a pleasant view of the beach (spectacular at sunset) and a shady garden (best for the hot part of the day). Their juices, smoothies, and salads are refreshing and served cold; I highly recommend the green smoothie, as well as any of their fish dishes. You will leave content and well-nourished!

Atmosphere was great, relaxing vibe, could feel the ocean breeze, walking distance to the beach. quick to get our food out to us and kind server who was patient with our non existent Spanish speaking skills. We ordered a frozen margarita as well as their Spirulina frozen margarita 👌🏻 and guacamole, fish fajitas, fish tacos, fries and the molletes. They also served us with 3 large servings of 3 different kinds of salsa/hot sauce which was complimentary. We ended up taking leftovers, but the molletes were ok (could have been more toasted) the fries were very crispy in the best way and the margaritas were very good. I had a smoothie and fish tacos. The fish tacos looked really pretty but didn’t taste that great. The waiter was pretty good, but after my meal, my two friends left and I was going to stay and get some work done, and she said I couldn’t stay because “we don’t offer co-working”. I said even though I just paid $200 pesos with a 4% card fee and a cash tip (they require cash tips? She said I could order some coffee or something. That was really disappointing experience, I love the view, but telling me I need to pay more to stay was absurd - especially after I’d just paid.
