During my time in Oaxaca this is the mezcaleria that people kept recommending, so on my last day I finally strolled to the south side and had a phenomenal experience here. The bartender graciously and generously walked me through the entire process of producing mezcal. In addition to a map of the region, he took out his phone to pull up photos as visual aids! Wonderful mezcal tasting bar. The bartender was extremely knowledgable about all the different agave species used to make the mezcals, he was very friendly and explained every part of our 6 mezcal tasting. The bartender spoke english btw. The mezcals themselves were all excellent as well. It's a nice place, not expensive, and a great place to learn about mezcal.
